Hibik is a short animated film inspired by the classic Filipino epic Florante at Laura, reimagined through a modern visual and storytelling lens. The project explores themes of love, struggle, and resilience, brought to life through expressive animation, carefully crafted scenes, and a strong sense of atmosphere. As a passion-driven production, Hibik reflects Velvet Pixel’s commitment to storytelling that resonates emotionally while showcasing the depth of Filipino narratives. Desert Wraith is a short animated film set against the backdrop of an intergalactic war, where survival, conflict, and isolation collide on a desolate frontier. The story follows a lone presence navigating the aftermath of large-scale destruction, blending intense action with a haunting sense of atmosphere. Through cinematic visuals, dynamic motion, and detailed world-building, the project explores the human cost of war beyond the battlefield. Zombie Apocalypse
This project reimagines modern-day Cebu City as a city overrun by a devastating zombie outbreak, transforming familiar streets and landmarks into a haunting, post-apocalyptic landscape. The story follows the few remaining survivors as they navigate a world where danger lurks at every corner and the odds are stacked against them. Blending cinematic visuals with grounded, recognizable locations, the film creates a striking contrast between everyday life and total collapse. Through atmosphere, tension, and visual storytelling, the project highlights Velvet Pixel’s ability to turn real-world environments into immersive, high-stakes narratives.
